Cultural Days
Our excursions won’t disappoint. Here are some of the charming outings we have in mind.
Comillas:
Boasting some of the most important Art Nouveau buildings in Cantabria, which include Sobrellano Palace Chapel and the Pantheon, the Pontifical University and, of course, the brilliant El Capricho by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi. This charming town is perfect for taking in the sites.
Bilbao:
Located on the shores of a very narrow estuary, Bilbao is in the heart of Basque country. With the titanium-clad Guggenheim (Oh, hi Frank Gehry), some serious food spots, and design for days, it’s a great choice for spending a day walking around and taking it all in.
Limpias:
Rumor has it they have the best chocolate and picatostes and churros. So naturally, we’ll have to go and try them.
Cullalvera Caves:
UNESCO World Heritage Site, these prehistoric caves make for a spiritual outing that takes us back in time. Camera’s recommended.
